Boarding Options/Rates
*All boarding is on a first come/first serve rental basis. All services may not
be available at all times. Horses will be pastured with other boarders’ horses. Maximum of 10 boarded horses at any given time.
NO STALLIONS
Self Care (Pasture Board) - $250 a month per horse
** Owner provides all feed/grain, supplements, hay, shavings, veterinarian and farrier care, as well as feeds horse him/herself. Hay and shavings may be purchased through B2B for additional cost. Have access to stalls, if available, but owner must clean stalls after every use. Client must bring horse inside/outside in inclement weather if they desire to do so and must clean that stall a minimum of four times a week if the horse is kept inside due to inclement weather. (Maximum of 2 horses at Self Care rate at any given time.)
Basic Partial Care (Primarily Pasture/minimal stall Board)- $300 a month per horse
** B2B feeds (does not provide) hay 2x per day. Owner provides all feed/grain, supplements, hay, shavings, veterinarian and farrier care. Hay and shavings may be purchased through B2B for additional cost. Have access to stalls but must clean stalls used after personal use. B2B will only bring horse in/out during inclement weather. Owner must clean stall a minimum of four times per week if horse is brought inside due to inclement weather. (Maximum of 10 horses at Basic Care rate up to a maximum of 10 total boarded horses.)
Partial Care Plus (Pasture/Stall Board) - $350 a month per horse
**B2B feeds (does not provide) grain and hay 2x per day. Owner provides all feed/grain, supplements, hay, shavings, veterinarian and farrier care. Hay and shavings may be purchased through B2B for additional cost. Have access to stalls but must clean stalls used after personal use. B2B will only bring horse in/out during inclement weather. B2B will clean stall only during times of inclement weather when horse needs to be stalled a minimum of four times per week. (Maximum of 10 horses at Partial Plus rate up to a maximum of 10 total boarded horses.)
Full Care (Pasture/Stall Board) - $475 a month per horse
** B2B feeds (does not provide) grain 2x per day, provides hay and shavings, but owner provides feed/grain, supplements, veterinarian and farrier care. Horse has designated stall. B2B will bring horse in/out of stall for turnout and will clean stall a minimum of five times per week. (Maximum of 4 horses at Full Care rate at any given time.)
*Definition of Inclement Weather: Heavy rain, Thunder/Lightening Storms, Hail, Sleet, Ice, times of excessive heat (over 95 F) or cold (under 35 F). *Ranch Manager will not endanger him/herself in order to bring horses inside out of inclement weather in the case of unexpected/sudden changes in weather. All efforts will be made to bring horses in before inclement weather arrives.
FEES
*The following fees are in addition to the regular care offered with each boarding option.
Blanketing/Unblanketing -$3 each time
Administering Basic Medication (e.g. oral antibiotics, eye drops, or other minor
medical care) - $2 each time
Administering Advanced/Time Consuming Medical Care (e.g. cold soaking legs,
applying bandages, cleaning wounds) - $5 for every 15 minutes of care
needed.
Turn Out/Bringing In of a Self Care Horse into/out of pasture/stalls at request of
owner at any time - $5 each time
Turn Out/Bringing In of a Partial Care Horse (including basic or plus options)
into/out of pasture/stalls at request of owner at any time except during
inclement weather - $5 each time
Veterinarian Care: If horse requires vet care and owner cannot be reached - $20 for
each hour spent caring for horse.
Stall Cleaning due to Boarder Negligence (boarder has not cleaned stall a
minimum of 4 times per week (does not apply to full care horses at any time
or partial care plus horses during inclement weather). - $35 per stall per
incident.
Shavings - $7 per wheelbarrow/cart load; or $35 for completely stripped /replenished stall (max
of 7 wheelbarrow/cart loads) (does not apply to full care horses)
Lights left On at Night in Winter for Show Horses - $40 per light per month. Lights and bulbs
provided by owner. No lights larger than 150 Watt allowed.
Water Left On/Overflowing - $20 per hour left on
Lights Left On in Barn/Arena or Arena Fan Left On (when not in use) - $20 per hour left on
Damage to Stall/Facility/Water faucets, etc. caused by an owner or owner’s horse will be charged according to the cost of the repair.
Stall Fan - $40 for first fan for each month fan is in use. An additional $15 per
month per stall for a second fan. Fans provided by owner.
Square Bales - $12 per bale (rate subject to change with varying hay prices)
Round Bales - $80 per horse per month that is in a pasture with a round bale
provided by B2B (does not apply to horses on Full Care)
*A note on hay: Adequate hay supplementation must be provided by owner so as not to deplete the grass in the pastures. If B2B deems that a horse is not receiving an adequate quantity/quality of hay, the situation will be discussed with the owner. If the owner does not remedy the situation, B2B will charge owner for any hay B2B uses in order for the horse to have adequate hay and to prevent over grazing.
Born 2 Be TEC Barn Rules for Boarders
Your cooperation in recognizing the importance of these rules, as well as adhering to them, will keep the facility running smoothly for all who have use of it. The first offense of breaking these rules will be a verbal reminder. The second offense will be a written warning. The third offense will result in termination of your boarding contract and will require for you to remove yourself, your horse(s), and possessions off the property within 10 days. These rules are for the protection of all who will enjoy the facility. The above rules are subject to change at management’s discretion. A copy of the current rules will be posted in the barn for convenience.
